New Wests Tigers documentary to premiere on Fox Sports

An extraordinary new Fox Sports Original Production, Wild Wests: Tales from Tiger Town, which follows the Wests Tigers during the 2021 NRL Premiership season, will premiere on Monday, 19th July.

The first of its kind four-part docu-series showcases the best of sports documentary storytelling and will be available to watch on Foxtel and stream on Kayo.

The series follows every aspect of the Wests Tigers’ 2021 season — the triumphs and tears — taking viewers into the inner sanctum of the rugby league club during four, hour-long episodes. Viewers will get never-before-seen, raw and unfiltered access to the highs and lows of a season that has challenged players, staff, and fans both on and off the field.

Each episode will cover a time span of three to four games and with the season still underway, filming of the final episodes is ongoing.

The first episode will premiere Monday, 19th July, with episodes two and three to follow in consecutive weeks (August 9th and 16th) following the Olympics.

The final episode will air Monday, 30th August ahead of the NRL Finals.

“The viewer will get an unrivalled look into the dynamics of key relationships, the preparation that goes into an 80-minute game of football and the inner workings of a club striving to regain their place at the top of the code’s most competitive league, making it a must watch for any sporting fan.

“Sports fans were transfixed by Michael Jordan’s ‘The Last Dance’ and the documentary on Tiger Woods. Well, this takes Australian fans inside the beating heart of a proud football club. Some of it isn’t pretty — but the access is so incredible you can’t look away.”
