Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Team List: Round 5

Western Suburbs Magpies Knock-On Effect NSW Cup coach Ben Gardiner has named his line-up for their Round 5 match against Mounties at Leichhardt Oval.

The reserve grade side — who have won back-to-back matches and sit third on the ladder — will feature as the curtain-raiser for the NRL clash between Wests Tigers and North Queensland Cowboys.

Asu Kepaoa has been named on the wing for Sunday’s match after being left out of Michael Maguire’s NRL squad for Round 5.

Experienced player Joseph Leilua will start at centre for the Magpies for the third week in-a-row, while Tom Freebairn moves into the starting side in place of Michael Chee Kam — who has been listed in the NRL team.

Hooker Jake Simpkin — who has scored five tries in four games — has been named at dummy-half, however he’s also been included in the 21-man NRL squad.

Halfback Jock Madden — who crossed for two tries in the side’s win over Parramatta on Easter Monday — will once again partner five-eighth Zach Dockar-Clay in the halves.
