Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Team List: Round 1

Western Suburbs Magpies Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Coach Ben Gardiner has named his 20-man squad to take on the Canberra Raiders for their season opener this Sunday.

Gardiner has named a strong squad for the match at GIO Stadium, which will be played as the curtain-raiser to Wests Tigers clash against the Raiders at 4:00pm.

Halfback Jock Madden will lead the side around and will be high on confidence after an impressive pre-season with the NRL squad which also saw him re-sign with the club on a one-year extension until the end of 2022.

New Wests Tigers recruit Tuki Simpkins is another player to keep an eye on after he showed his skills in the first grade trial games last month, while 2021 Development Players Kelma Tuilagi, William Kei and Reece Hoffman have also been named.

NRL squad members Zac Cini, Jake Simpkin and Alex Seyfarth will also feature for the Magpies this week, who will be eager for a big 2021 campaign after last year’s season was cancelled following Round 1 due to COVID-19.
