Chemist Warehouse Injury Report: Pre-Season Trials

Wests Tigers can provide the following Chemist Warehouse Injury Report ahead of the club’s second and final NRL trial match against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles this weekend.

Shawn Blore (hand) and Moses Mbye (hamstring) will not feature in Sunday’s trial match after the pair recently picked up injuries.

Blore has successfully undergone surgery to repair a wrist fracture suffered in training and is expected to return between Round 6-8, while Mbye is progressing well from a minor hamstring strain. He is aiming to be available for selection in the club’s season opener against the Canberra Raiders.

Billy Walters also continues to make good progress from his ACL reconstruction with the utility targeting a return to modified team training next month ahead of a planned return to play later in the year.

Saturday’s NRL trial match against the Sydney Roosters saw a successful return to the field for Development Player Reece Hoffman, who was making his return from a leg injury sustained last year.

The news was not as good for NSW Cup forward Billy Stapleton, who suffered a broken jaw during the match. He has since undergone surgery and will begin his recovery to return during the 2021 season.
