There are a number of Wests Tigers players with plenty of upside when it comes to NRL Fantasy in 2021!
It would be tempting to stack your line-up with several Wests Tigers players this season – so we’ve narrowed it down to the five guys you should have your eyes on.
Jacob Liddle (HOK – $304,000)
Priced at just over $300k, Liddle looks to be a handy pick-up, especially if he’s given decent minutes this season.
He hasn’t had much luck with injuries throughout his career, however he’s primed for a big year after impressing in pre-season.
He started at hooker twice last season, scoring 54 and 51 points in those games (playing around 60 minutes in each game).
We all know he’ll make a mountain of tackles, ensuring his base stats are high and he should at least be on your NRL Fantasy radar.
James Roberts (CTR – $336,000)
We all know what Jimmy the Jet brings to the table. When he’s on, he’s one of the most exciting and explosive players across the entire competition.
With a mid-range price range, he could be one of the buys of the year, especially if he can find the try line at a frequent pace.
He managed to score just two tries in his 18-game stint at South Sydney, but he’ll be aiming to turn that around this season.
Joining Wests Tigers has given him a new lease of life and he’s looking sharp in pre-season.
Stefano Utoikamanu (MID – $246,000)
A junior representative standout, Utoikamanu made his first-grade debut for Parramatta Eels in Round 9 last season – going on to play three games in total in his rookie season. Now he’s looking to go to the next level with Wests Tigers and could be a great buy in NRL Fantasy.
His workload and number of minutes is unclear at this stage, but at a cheap price, there’s nothing to lose with this middle forward.
Adam Doueihi (WFB – $532,000)
Although he’s listed as a wing/fullback, it’s likely Doueihi will start in the halves alongside Luke Brooks in 2021 – meaning you can use this to your advantage.
The Lebanon international could be the man to kick goals this season, boosting his Fantasy value with easy points coming his way.
You need to take note that he won’t feature in Round 1 as he coped a one-week ban in the final game of the 2020 season.
Shawn Blore (EDG – $246,000)
Blore has the potential to be one of the best cash cows of the season. Having debuted for Wests Tigers last season, he has shown he’s made for the NRL and has a promising career ahead of him.
Listed at nearly bottom dollar, the young forward is set for a massive price rise the moment he takes to the field.
His NRL Fantasy projection is still unclear until we know if he makes the final side, but if he’s included in coach Michael Maguire’s final 17 – or even starting side – then he’s a must buy!
