2020 Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership Awards

Wests Tigers Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership players Sophie Curtain and Botille Vette-Welsh have both picked up awards at the club’s 2020 Presentation Night.

Captain of the side, Vette-Welsh was voted by her teammates as the Players’ Player of the Year for the second consecutive season while Curtain was rewarded for her best season to date by taking out the top award for the Player of the Year.

Featuring in their second season of the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership competition, Curtain and Vette-Welsh featured in every game for Wests Tigers throughout the year as they helped the side to a second successive finals berth.

Curtain — a graduate of the club’s junior Tarsha Gale side — finished as the team’s second highest try-scorer while averaging 80 metres and 23 tackles per game.

Vette-Welsh will once again feature in the NRLW competition for the 2020 season with the Sydney Roosters, which kicks off this weekend.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Sophie and Botille on their awards!
