Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire will welcome back Harry Grant for his side’s clash against the top-of-the-table Penrith Panthers this Saturday.

Grant has not played since suffering a knee injury against the New Zealand Warriors in Round 12, but has been named to start in the number nine jersey for the Round 16 clash. Grant’s return sees Jacob Liddle — who himself only recently returned from a long-term injury — drop back to the bench alongside Matt Eisenhuth, Elijah Taylor and Shawn Blore.

Blore is another new face in the squad this week, with Thomas Mikaele and Alex Twal both promoted to the run-on side after successful comebacks from injury last weekend.

Grant’s return to the squad sees Josh Reynolds drop back to the reserves alongside Chris Lawrence, Asu Kepaoa and Sam McIntyre, who returns to the 21-man squad in place of Russell Packer.

For the Panthers, Viliame Kikau's suspension sees Moses Leota start at prop with James Fisher-Harris moving to lock and Isaah Yeo to an edge.

Billy Burns comes on the bench with Mitch Kenny at dummy half — replacing the injured Apisai Koroisau — while Brian To'o returns from an ankle injury. His return sees Brent Naden shift to centre, Tyrone May to the bench and Daine Laurie to the reserves.

Both teams will provide updated 19-man team lists at 7:35pm on Friday, before finalising their side one hour prior to kickoff (6:35pm, Saturday).
