Early team news for Round 15

There will be no shortage of interest in the team lists for both sides this week as Wests Tigers prepare for Saturday's clash against the two-time defending premiers Sydney Roosters at Leichhardt Oval.

After a thrilling 29-28 win over the Bulldogs in Round 14, Wests Tigers return to Leichhardt Oval for the first time since their 48-0 drubbing of the Broncos in Round 10 — and will be certainly hoping to produce a similar scoreline.

With no major injuries stemming from the Bulldogs clash, Wests Tigers could potentially line up as per program for Saturday's game against the Tricolours with Jacob Liddle raring to go after a successful injury return on the weekend.

Liddle hadn't played in over 12 months following an extensive knee injury, but delivered a strong performance in the number nine jersey — getting through 61 minutes while adding 98 metres from nine runs and 44 tackles.

With Harry Grant (knee) and Billy Walters (knee) sidelined, Liddle will likely retain the hooking duties again for Saturday's big game but could welcome back some familiar teammates with both Alex Twal and Thomas Mikaele in the mix.

Neither Twal or Mikaele featured against the Bulldogs as they manage minor injuries, but could be eligible for selection this weekend — along with the likes of Chris Lawrence, AJ Kepaoa and Shawn Blore, who were all named in the 21-man squad last week.

Roosters Coach Trent Robinson indicated after his side's defeat to Melbourne on the weekend that he was unsure about the possible return of several players from injury and it'll be an interesting team list from the Tricolours as a result.

Brett Morris (back), Angus Crichton (knee) and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves (calf) are all reportedly a chance of returning for Saturday's game, while Kyle Flanagan and Drew Hutchinson expected to feature in the halves after injuries to Luke Keary (rib) and Lachlan Lam (ankle) against the Storm.

Should Crichton return, he would seemingly be a straight swap for Mitchell Aubusson in the back row after the stalwart suffered a nasty wrist injury.

Daniel Tupou is also unlikely as he battles an ankle injury, having not played since Round 8.

Both sides will name their 21-man squad for Saturday's game at 4:00pm on Tuesday.
