Wests Tigers will be without Alex Twal, Robert Jennings and Zane Musgrove for an extended period of time after the trio picked up injuries in last week’s win over the North Queensland Cowboys.
After going off injured in the first half, Twal’s knee injury will see him miss approximately four weeks while Jennings (hamstring) and Musgrove (foot) are both looking at longer stints on the the sideline. Jennings suffered a high-grade tendon injury and will miss an extended period of time while Musgrove will undergo surgery for a lis franc injury — ruling him out for 10-12 weeks.
There is positive news, however, for Jacob Liddle as he continues his recovery from a long-term knee injury. After suffering the injury in August last year, Liddle will transition in to full team training over the next few weeks before resuming contact training after that. He is aiming to be fit for selection around Round 14-15.
Tommy Talau is also available for selection this week after missing Round 6 with a hamstring strain. He will start on the left wing for Sunday’s clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
