Match Day Info: Round 5

Wests Tigers will play their first home game at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this Saturday when they take on the Canberra Raiders.

Both sides enter the contest off the back of last start defeats, and will be keen to bounce back in the winner’s circle in their Saturday night clash.

In what will be their first home game under the revised draw, Wests Tigers will also hold a tribute for the late Arthur Summons with members of his family in attendance at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

A talented rugby union and league player, Summons enjoyed a strong club career in league with the Western Suburbs Magpies while also thriving on the international stage. The versatile playmaker represented City, Sydney and New South Wales before featuring for Australia on 27 occasions between 1961 and 1964.

Summons also captained the national rugby league team in five undefeated test matches from 1962 until 1964 before later coaching the side.

He passed away late last month and was celebrated across the game as an iconic figure for not just Western Suburbs, but rugby league as a whole.
