Man of the Match: Round 3

On a night where team performance stood out more than individual efforts, Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma capped off his night by taking out the VB Man of the Match award from Round 3.

As he seemingly does every week, Nofoaluma topped the metres chart for Wests Tigers with a game-high 187 metres from his 19 runs while also adding five tackle breaks and an offload for 58 NRL Fantasy points.

However, it was his attacking potency that proved the key for Wests Tigers on the night — first breaking the line open to set up Luke Garner for a crucial four-pointer that levelled the match before producing a superb individual effort that would put the visitors back in front and on their way to victory.

After a fast start to the 2020 season, Nofoaluma currently leads the NRL with four tries — level with Kotoni Staggs (Broncos) and Ben Hampton (Cowboys) heading in to a Round 5 away game against the Gold Coast Titans at Suncorp Stadium.
