Josh Reynolds picks his rugby league dream team

When asked to pick his top six players in certain positions right across the NRL, Wests Tigers five-eighth Josh Reynolds certainly didn't muck around in putting a talented group together.

Speaking on the club's new Beyond the 80 Podcast, Reynolds took part in a segment called "You're the Coach" where players have to pick their top six players in a raft of different positions — fullback, centre/wing, five-eighth/halfback, second row, front row and hooker — to put together a star-studded side.

The only catch: you can't have more than player from a single side.

With an array of fullback options available, Reynolds went for a slightly different take in the number one jersey with the Sea Eagles' Tom Trbojevic.

"I've never seen him play a bad game, to be honest," Reynolds said.

"He saved about six tries in the last game he played — he's got everything as a fullback. He's got that carry and plays the 3v2's well.

"He seems like a good guy — and if I was a Coach I'd definitely want to have good people around the club as well. Him and his brother seem like really good people."

After selecting his Wests Tigers teammate David Nofoaluma as his outside back, Reynolds then went for another x-factor player in the halves in Mitchell Pearce.

"I think he's one of the best organisers in the game," Reynolds said. "He's also got a great running game and a great kicking game, he's not afraid to take on the line, he's good in defence and he's really become a leader since he's gone to Newcastle."

The selection of Wade Graham as his second row forward was another crafty selection to add some playmaking ability as well as his toughness, while the selection of Jason Taumalolo up front was a more straight-forward selection.

His number nine, though, again offered some genuine x-factor.

"I'm going to throw Api Koroisau in to the mix — he's unbelievable at the moment," Reynolds said.  "He pretty much won the game for the Panthers the other day between him and Cleary.

"I've played a bit against him and going in to hooker myself, I've really started to appreciate what he does and think he's one of the best in the game."
