Wests Tigers Results: Round 1

It was a successful weekend for Wests Tigers in Round 1 with strong wins for the club's NRL, Canterbury Cup and Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership sides to kick off the season.

Were it not for a late missed conversion in the Jersey Flegg game between Wests Tigers and the Dragons, it would have been a clean sweep for the senior sides and a fantastic way to start the season with a number of key matches to come.

David Nofoaluma and Benji Marshall both starred for the NRL side in their win over the Dragons, while Tommy Talau and Matt Eisenhuth featured strongly in Canterbury Cup with three tries between them in a good win for the Magpies.

Ana Fekeila and Teagan Toa Toa both bagged doubles for the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership side as they opened the year with a 32-point win.

Wests Tigers will take on Newcastle in Round 2 of the season this Sunday at Leichhardt Oval. Both Canterbury Cup and Jersey Flegg will also face the Knights while the women's side come up against the newly-formed Central Coast Roosters.
