With round one of the 2020 NRL season in the books, we turn our attention to round two.
Congratulations to those who picked Penrith's upset win over the Sydney Roosters, clever tips like that will deliver a vital early-season boost.
Round two throws up a few matches that are hard to predict. Friday night's meeting between the Broncos and Rabbitohs is a cause for thought, as are the Roosters-Sea Eagles, Bulldogs-Cowboys and Wests Tigers-Knights clashes.

Brett Kimmorley's round 2 previews
Bulldogs v Cowboys, Thursday, 8:05pm at ANZ Stadium
Brett Kimmorley says: Canterbury showed they can defend extremely well but a lack of points might be something that hurts them in 2020. I thought the Cowboys were extremely poor for the opening of their new stadium. They missed just over 50 tackles and that will need to improve very, very quickly. I did like some of the attacking strengths North Queensland offered, however. Cowboys by 2.
Dragons v Panthers, Friday, 6pm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium
Brett Kimmorley says: Penrith were great in the second half against the Roosters. The Api Koroisau-Nathan Cleary combination clicked into gear straight away. How quickly it all came together for Penrith surprised me, while I thought the Dragons weren't at their best in round one. I'll tip Koroisau and Cleary to inspire another victory. Panthers by 8.
Who'll make finals from last year's bottom eight
Broncos v Rabbitohs, Friday, 8.05pm at Suncorp Stadium
Brett Kimmorley says: Brisbane won last week and they had a couple of amazing individual performers, but they're probably going to miss Tevita Pangai jnr a lot. South Sydney will definitely have to control David Fifita – he was unbelievable. I saw some good signs from the Rabbitohs, including a decent completion rate, and I think they'll improve. Rabbitohs by 4.
Warriors v Raiders, Saturday, 3pm at Cbus Super Stadium
Brett Kimmorley says: I think the Warriors will have a fair few distractions on their mind other than playing football. They were poor in round one and looked like they were off the pace a little bit. The Raiders and Jack Wighton have hit the ground running after their 2019 success. They look sharp and fast. Raiders by 16.
Roosters v Sea Eagles, Saturday, 5,30pm at Leichhardt Oval
Brett Kimmorley says: I thought Manly were unlucky in defeat against Melbourne. It was an arm-wrestle for 60 minutes until they conceded their first try. The Roosters should be able to fix their last-tackle options, which was what coach Trent Robinson was unhappy with. I wouldn't think the Chooks would lose too many games back-to-back to start the season. Roosters by 2.
Sharks v Storm. Saturday, 7.35pm at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium
Brett Kimmorley says: A great rivalry that started in the 2016 grand final. Melbourne were really good in the arm-wrestle against Manly, that's the style of footy they play. The Sharks created some opportunities against Souths, especially as the game flowed on, and they had a chance to win with some better execution. They're Melbourne's bogey team and can get the job done. Sharks by 4.

Wests Tigers v Knights, Sunday, 4.05pm at Leichhardt Oval
Brett Kimmorley says: Both sides played really well and defended strongly in round one. It's going to be a good game, a nice, grinding style of football. Benji Marshall is on absolute fire, he's good to watch. I thought the defensive attitude Newcastle showed in Adam O'Brien's first game was very impressive with Mitchell Pearce and Kalyn Ponga calling the shots in attack. If anything, I think the Knights may offer a bit more with the ball. Knights by 4.
Titans v Eels, Sunday, 6.15pm at Cbus Super Stadium
Brett Kimmorley says: I didn't see anything from the Titans last week that suggested much has changed. They missed a lot of tackles, and I think once you highlight that on a video Parramatta can take advantage. The Eels were poor as well in round one, but they'll have a higher completion rate this game I imagine. If they earn the right to play football, I think they've got plenty of points in them. Eels by 14.
