Wests Tigers are pleased to announce the signing of talented outside back Adam Doueihi for the coming four seasons.
The four-year deal will see the Wests Tigers local junior join the club effective immediately after being released from his contract by the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
The deal will see Doueihi feature in Wests Tigers colours until the end of the 2023 NRL season.
Doueihi was a breakout star of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup with Lebanon — scoring two tries in four Tests at centre for the Cedars.
He would make his first-grade debut soon after in the following year, playing at halfback for South Sydney against Penrith.
The playmaker would go on to feature at fullback, centre, wing and halfback for the Rabbitohs across 2018 and 2019 — scoring two tries in his 30 appearances to date.
Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire said he was looking forward to working again with Doueihi and seeing his career further develop at the club.
“I’m very pleased we’ve been able to secure Adam on a long-term deal at Wests Tigers,” Maguire said. “He is a fine young man off the field and is an excellent addition to our squad with his talent and versatility across a number of positions.
“Adam is a tremendously hard worker who carries himself very well, and we’re all excited to see him take the next steps forward in his career at this club.”
Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe welcomed Doueihi to the club.
“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to welcome Adam to the club and say how pleased we are to see him commit his long-term future to Wests Tigers,” Pascoe said.
“In addition to being an extremely talented young man, Adam is a proud local junior of Wests Tigers and it is great to see him come home. We look forward to watching him add plenty of value both on and off the field to this club in the years ahead.”
