Jacob Liddle sustains serious knee injury against Manly

Wests Tigers hooker Jacob Liddle was taken from the field after just six minutes following a serious knee injury sustained against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles on Thursday night.

Starting at hooker for the first time this season following an injury to Robbie Farah last week, Liddle fell awkwardly after trying to make a tackle on Manly captain Daly Cherry-Evans and was immediately taken from the field by club medical staff.

While the official diagnosis on Liddle's injury isn't known until scans take place, the hooker won't return tonight and will be out for the indefinite future.

Wests Tigers will provide an update on Liddle's condition as it comes to hand.
