Garner suspended for Sea Eagles clash

Wests Tigers forward Luke Garner has been suspended for his side's clash against Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on Thursday night after the Judiciary upheld his Dangerous Contact charge.

Garner faced the Judiciary tonight after entering a not guilty plea to a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact - Other offence following a tackle on Bulldogs playmaker Lachlan Lewis in Round 21 that saw the forward sin-binned during the first half.

The incident sees Garner suspended for one week with 55 carryover points.

He will next be eligible for selection in the club's Round 23 home game against the Newcastle Knights at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, August 24.

After being named in the starting line-up, Garner’s replacement will be named in tomorrow night's updated team at 7:50pm AEST. Chris Lawrence, Chris McQueen, and Sam McIntyre are all options in the 21-man squad to replace him.
