K-Town Man of the Match: Round 21

Wests Tigers forward Ryan Matterson has been named the K-Town Man of the Match following a remarkable individual performance against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Saturday.

With injuries and a sin bin seeing Matterson's minutes rise to 76, the 2018 Premiership Winner responded with arguably his finest performance in Wests Tigers colours with a remarkable 29 runs for 272 metres including 96 post-contact.

It was Matterson's break in the opening minutes that set up Paul Momirovski's first try with the lock chalking up two tackle breaks and two offloads.

Matterson's defence was also superb on the night with 41 tackles made and just one missed — the equal most amount for his side alongside Oliver Clark.

Averaging 126.9 metres and 37 tackles per game this season, the 24-year-old has been one of the side's best this year and looms as a key player to watch for Wests Tigers on Thursday as they take on the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
