Wests Tigers forward Michael Chee Kam has today left John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle after being monitored overnight.
Chee Kam was stretchered from the field in the final minutes of his side’s 28-26 win over the Knights with head/neck concerns, and was taken to hospital via ambulance as a precaution for further assessment.
The 27-year-old has been cleared of any serious injury and is in positive spirits.
He will continue to be monitored closely by the club’s medical department as he undergoes the necessary Head Injury Assessment protocols in preparation for his side's Round 20 clash against North Queensland at Leichhardt Oval.
