K-Town Man of the Match: Round 16

Wests Tigers forward Josh Aloiai has been named the K-Town Man of the Match from Round 16 following a strong showing off the bench against the Sydney Roosters at Bankwest Stadium.

No doubt keen to impress after inking a contract extension with the club during the week, Aloiai had a profound impact off the bench for Michael Maguire's side with 153 metres to his name — more than any other forward in the game.

What's even more impressive was the fact that those 153 metres came from his 15 runs, with 62 post-contact metres, all in just 43 minutes of game time.

Aloiai didn't just have an impact with the ball either, with 29 tackles and just one missed leaving him with a strong 96.7% tackle completion rate on the night, while he also chimed in with a clever offload to spark an attack on the right flank.

There was some concern post-match with Aloiai charged by the Match Review Committee for a late hit on Cooper Cronk — which was ruled play-on during the game — but the forward will be free to play next week with an early guilty plea.
