NRL Team Update: Round 14

Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire has updated his 19-man squad to take on the North Queensland Cowboys for their Round 14 clash at 1300SMILES Stadium in Townsville tomorrow.

Kickoff for the match is at 7:55pm AEST as Wests Tigers look to bounce back from a heavy defeat to the Canberra Raiders and stay in touch with the top eight.

Following last week’s late change, Corey Thompson will again line up at fullback for Friday’s game with captain Moses Mbye shifting to the centres.

Robert Jennings and Michael Chee Kam will move in to the run-on side; Jennings replacing the injured Mahe Fonua while Chee Kam starts for Chris Lawrence, who returns to the bench after making his comeback from injury last weekend.

Luke Garner and Elijah Taylor have dropped out of the 21-man squad named earlier in the week while Chris McQueen and Paul Momirovski remain in the squad after travelling as part of a 19-man Wests Tigers squad to Townsville on Wednesday.

The Cowboys remain unchanged from the team originally named during the week, with Jordan Kahu a slight chance to return after being retained in the reserves.

Final team lists for both sides will be confirmed at 6:55 pm AEST on Friday.
