Canterbury Cup Team Announcement: Round 10

Western Suburbs Magpies Canterbury Cup Coach Brett Hodgson has named a strong side for Saturday's Round 10 clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs to be played at Panthers Stadium as part of the NSWRL's Magic Round.

Following on from the success of the NRL Magic Round weekend in Brisbane, the NSWRL reserve-grade competition will now see a Magic Round-style weekend take place with three games of football at Panthers Stadium in Penrith on Saturday followed by three games of football at Henson Park in Marrickville on Sunday.

After a competition-wide bye in Round 9, Hodgson has named a strong side to take on the Bulldogs this week with a number of NRL squad members included.

Russell Packer and David Nofoaluma have both been named for the clash, along with Dylan Smith, Tyson Gamble, Sam McIntyre and Robbie Rochow.

2019 Development Players Kane Bradley and Alex Seyfarth are also included in the squad, while Watson Heleta makes his return from injury in the centres.

Currently sitting in seventh position on the Canterbury Cup ladder, Western Suburbs could finish the round as high as third should they defeat the eighth-placed Bulldogs.
