Michael Chee Kam disciplinary statement

Wests Tigers has today confirmed that Michael Chee Kam has been suspended by the club for Saturday’s game against the Sydney Roosters.

Last week, Chee Kam appeared in Waverley Local Court and pleaded guilty to the charge of common assault. He was subsequently suspended for the club’s Round 7 match against the Gold Coast Titans, with a further extension applying to this week’s Round 8 match against the Sydney Roosters.

In addition to this two-game suspension, Chee Kam has also been fined by the club for his actions.

Wests Tigers has worked closely with the NRL Integrity Unit throughout this process, which has now been finalised. The club has provided Chee Kam with additional support and education during this time, and will continue to work closely with him to uphold the strong values, behaviour and culture of Wests Tigers.
