Wallace charged, will miss Wests Tigers clash

Gold Coast Titans forward Jarrod Wallace will miss his side's Round 7 clash against Wests Tigers in Tamworth after being charged by the Match Review Committee from Round 5.

The Queensland Origin representative was hit with a Grade 1 Shoulder Charge offence during his side's upset win over the Penrith Panthers — attracting a two-week suspension. Despite his early guilty plea, Wallace will miss the Gold Coast Titans' next two matches against the Knights and Wests Tigers respectively.

Teammate Mitch Rein was also charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Throw offence from the game but will not miss any time after taking the early guilty plea.

Elsewhere, North Queensland forward Josh McGuire escaped suspension despite being hit with a Grade 1 Contract Conduct charge for an alleged eye gouge on Storm playmaker Cameron Munster, while Sea Eagles forward Addin Fonua-Blake and Roosters centre Joseph Manu will both front the Judiciary on Tuesday night as they look to have their respective Grade 1 offences from the weekend dropped.

Bulldogs forward Sauaso Sue is also facing time on the sidelines after being hit with two seperate Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charges in his side's loss to the Dragons.

No Wests Tigers player was charged by the Match Review Committee.
