Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire has backed centre Esan Marsters to bounce back with his goal-kicking after a tough night with the boot in last week's loss to the Panthers.
Marsters missed a penalty goal and two conversions — one of which bounced off the upright — against Penrith last week with those missed points coming back to haunt Wests Tigers in the end as the Panthers roared back for a 9-8 win.
Having taken over the kicking duties at the start of the 2018 season, Marsters was confirmed by Maguire to be the team's kicker once again for Thursday clash against the Broncos with the Coach backing the star centre to bounce back with the boot.
"He is our kicker again this week," Maguire told reporters on Wednesday.
"He's been working hard on his practice this week.
"Some days you can just have a tough day as a kicker, so what's going to be the telling factor now is how Esan bounces back this week.
"He's looking forward to having that opportunity again.
"He's been kicking at 90 percent at training — sometimes you just have those days.
"Esan is a quality kicker and he's been doing all the work in the background so it's about just getting it out there on the field now."
