Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire has updated his 19-man squad to take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Sunday for their Round 3 clash at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.
Kickoff for the match is at 4:05pm AEDT as Wests Tigers look to continue their strong start to season 2019 with their third consecutive victory while the Bulldogs head in to the contest searching for their first win after two heavy defeats.
In identical fashion to last week, Maguire has confirmed no changes of yet with Josh Reynolds and Matt Eisenhuth dropping out of the 21-man squad. Both players featured for the club's Canterbury Cup team in Round 2 — earning selection in the Team of the Week after helping the Magpies to a dominant victory — and will likely line up again for Western Suburbs on Sunday prior to the NRL contest.
Paul Momirovski and Chris McQueen remain in the 19-man squad as reserves with final team lists to be confirmed one hour prior to kickoff (3:05pm, Sunday).
For the Bulldogs, Coach Dean Pay has confirmed an unchanged lineup also, with Jack Cogger and Raymond Faitala-Mariner dropping out of the squad. Marcelo Montoya and Sauaso Sue — who were both named for the Bulldogs Canterbury Cup side earlier in the week — have been retained in the side as reserves.
Maguire gives final word ahead of Bulldogs clash
After finishing Round 2 on top of the Telstra Premiership ladder for the first time in club history, Wests Tigers will be looking to secure another club in Round 3 first by winning their first three games to start a season for the first time since 2000.
Those heading to Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Sunday are in for a rugby league triple-header with the club's Jersey Flegg (12:00pm AEDT), Canterbury Cup (1:55pm AEDT) and NRL (4:05pm AEDT) sides all in action against the Bulldogs.
