Western Suburbs Magpies Canterbury Cup Coach Brett Hodgson has named a strong Round 1 squad to take on the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday.
Kickoff for the match is at 3:15pm AEDT at Leichhardt Oval with the match played prior to the club's NRL season opener against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.
After strong performances throughout the team's two trial matches, Hodgson has named a number of fresh faces in his Round 1 side as well as NRL squad members Dylan Smith, Tyson Gamble, Oliver Clark, Sam McIntyre and Robbie Rochow.
Kauri Aupouri will captain the side alongside Gamble in the halves.
