Wests Tigers Jersey Flegg forwards Ben Seufale and Alex Seyfarth have both picked awards at the club's end-of-season night this evening at Curzon Hall.
Suefale was voted by his teammates as the Players' Player of the Year, while Seyfarth was selected by the club's Jersey Flegg coaching staff as the Player of the Year.
Both players featured in the majority of matches for the Jersey Flegg side this season, before being rewarded for their strong form with selection in the club's Intrust Super Premiership side.
Suefale played four reserve grade matches, while Seyfarth has been a regular of the side since Round 20 and recently played in the ISP Elimination Final. A Western Suburbs junior, Seufale was impressive in leading the club's forward pack throughout the year — averaging over 90 metres and 22 tackles per game — while also chalking up four tries, 47 tackle breaks and 22 offloads in his 17 Jersey Flegg games.
Seyfarth was similarly strong throughout the year with his tireless efforts in defence on the edge standing out. He averaged more than 31 tackles per game, while also adding over 1,200 run metres on the season along with 24 tackle breaks from his 15 matches.
Both Seufale and Seyfarth will remain with Wests Tigers in 2019 — Seyfarth moving in to the full-time squad as a Development player while Seufale will look to build on his strong season as one of the senior players in the club's Jersey Flegg side.
Wests Tigers would like to congratulate both Ben and Alex on their success in 2018!
