Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership forwards Luke Garner and Patrice Siolo have both picked up awards at the club's Presentation Night this evening.

Siolo was voted by his teammates as the Intrust Super Premiership Players' Player of the Year while Garner was selected by the club's coaching staff as the Player of the Year.

Playing for the club's Intrust Super Premiership side, Western Suburbs, in 2018, Garner and Siolo were instrumental in the Magpies rise up the competition ladder following a tough season in 2017 — earning a well-deserved finals berth for Brett Hodgson's fifth-placed side.

A standout in the early part of the season, Garner's strong form in the Intrust Super Premiership saw the 23-year-old selected to make his representative debut in a victorious NSW Residents side, before being called in to the full-time squad with his NRL debut against the Dragons in Round 19.

Despite only playing 16 games for the Intrust Super Premiership side, Garner finished the year as the second-highest scoring forward in the competition with eight tries, while also adding nine linebreaks and 55 tackle breaks, 501 tackles and 1,452 run metres.

A new arrival to the club in 2018, Siolo quickly established himself as a constant in Hodgson's side this year with consistent performances across the forward pack.

The 24-year-old spent time at hooker, lock and in the back row — missing just two matches all year as he finished the season with a 1476 run metres and 561 tackles. Incredibly, Siolo also made just one handling error all season, further typifying his consistency in 2018.

Both players will remain with Wests Tigers in 2019 — Garner as a member of the club's NRL squad while Siolo will feature once again in the Intrust Super Premiership team, Western Suburbs.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Luke and Patrice on their success in 2018!
