Wests Tigers forward Alex Twal has been named the Lantrak Man of the Match from his side's Round 24 win over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles.

After missing out on the squad for last week's loss to the St. George-Illawarra Dragons, Twal returned on Thursday night with aplomb — delivering his finest performance since his NRL debut last year.

The 22-year-old was enormous off the bench in his 39 minutes of game time, racking up a ridiculous 204 metres from his 13 carries, seven tackle breaks and 29 tackles at a 90.6% completion rate.

While 54 of those metres came post-contact, Twal's finest moment came in the 48th minute when he collected a pass from Robbie Farah on his own 30m line. The Lebanese international broke through the Sea Eagles line with a powerful fend on Manase Fainu, before charging in to the clear, stepping back inside Tom Trbojevic off the right foot to find Moses Mbye five metres out for an incredible long-range try.

It was the prop's first try-assist in the NRL, and it certainly capped off a brilliant impact off the bench!
