Lantrak Man of the Match: Round 22

Wests Tigers fullback Moses Mbye has been named the Lantrak Man of the Match from his side's thrilling Round 22 win over the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium.

Playing in his 100th first-grade game, Mbye delivered his best performance since joining Wests Tigers in Round 16 with a hand in three of his side's four tries as they kept their finals hopes alive.

Mbye played a crucial role in his side's opening four-pointer of the day to Malakai Watene-Zelezniak, before scoring one of the individual tries of the season soon after. Breaking the line on halfway, Mbye pushed away from four or five defenders, before beating fullback Nick Cotric with an incredible dummy.

The Noosa Pirates junior then closed out a brilliant first half in attack by throwing a perfect cut-out pass for David Nofoaluma to score in the corner — a try that would prove crucial in the ultimate 22-20 win.

Mbye finished the match with 103 metres from his 10 runs (including 29 metres on kick returns), while also chalking up six tackle breaks, six one-on-one tackles and four crucial kick defuses.

Celebrating his 25th birthday on Monday, it was certainly a weekend to remember for Moses Mbye!
