It was a tough weekend for Wests Tigers in Round 13 with the club's NRL and Jersey Flegg sides going down in tight matches to the Roosters and Dragons respectively.
Ivan Cleary's side looked like they might pull off an incredible comeback when they came back from 14-2 down to trail by just two points, but a late attack of the Roosters line saw them come up empty.
The result sees them drop out of the top eight for the first time this season.
For the Jersey Flegg side, it was a similar tale for the year with good first half effort not being rewarded in the second half as the Dragons hung on to emerge with a tight 22-10 victory at Campbelltown.
Craig Wilson's side have been rapidly improving in the last month and could easily have had several wins, and will be desperate to bounce back next week when they take on the 10th-placed Sea Eagles.
Off the back of the bye, Wests Tigers Intrust Super Premiership side, Western Suburbs Magpies, return to action this weekend when they take on the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at Leichhardt Oval.
