Wests Tigers Results: Round 10

It was a successful weekend for Wests Tigers in Round 10, with the club's NRL and Intrust Super Premiership sides both recording strong victories.

Kicking off on Thursday Night Football for the first time this year, Wests Tigers produced a dominant attack display to down the Cowboys by eight points in a match that could have easily been more had the hosts taken all their chances. In front of a vocal and boisterous crowd at Leichhardt Oval, the hosts ran in four tries to two to end a run of three straight defeats and consolidate their spot in the top eight.

The club's Intrust Super Premiership side, Western Suburbs Magpies, then made it two from two with a stirring upset win over the New Zealand Warriors in tough conditions at Mount Smart Stadium.

Struggling with their own form issues heading in to the game, the Magpies produced an incredible five try-savers over the goal-line to shut the Warriors out and emerge with a gritty 11-0 victory in the end.

The win is the second time this season that the Magpies have shut out the Warriors — following on from their 32-0 win back in Round 5 — and sees them end the round just two points off first-placed Mounties.

In Ron Massey Cup, Western Suburbs went down 30-18 to the Hills District Bulls.
