Lantrak Man of the Match: Round 10

Wests Tigers centre Mahe Fonua has been named the Lantrak Man of the Match following his brilliant performance against North Queensland in Round 10.

After earning his spot in the team just a fortnight ago, Mahe Fonua showed his attacking brilliance on Thursday night with a dominant showing that created a number of opportunities on the left edge.

His great handling allowed for Malakai Watene-Zelezniak to score his first try of the night, while the left edge was unlucky to have a second try disallowed as the final pass from Chris Lawrence went forward.

Fonua finished the match with a game-high 22 runs for a whopping 230 metres with one linebreak, while also adding five tackle breaks, three offloads, six tackles and importantly, zero errors.

He also came up with a brilliant one-on-one try-saver on his own line with the game in the balance.

The former Melbourne and Hull man drew high praise from Coach Ivan Cleary after the game, and his combination on the left with Watene-Zelezniak looks likely to stay for next week's clash with Penrith.
