Wests Tigers prop Alex Twal capped off an incredible six months that included his NRL debut and 21st birthday with an international debut for Lebanon last week.
Even more remarkable was the game itself, with the Cedars winning in the dying moments for their maiden World Cup victory — likely securing a spot in the knockout rounds in the process.
Twal was right at the centre of it all, racking up 151 metres and 34 tackles in 60 minutes, and said it was simply an incredible match to be a part of on so many levels.
"It was a really tough game down in Canberra," Twal reflected.
"It was a special moment to be able to put Lebanon in the history books like that.
"It was such a good experience to be a part of for myself, personally.
"I had family down there in truckloads, so it was a really proud moment for me to represent my family, and show my pride for my mother's birthplace."
Lebanon will look to produce another upset when they take on England this Saturday in Sydney, before ending the group stage with a mouthwatering clash against the Kangaroos.
