Wests Tigers five-eighth Tui Lolohea says he can see the positive effect of Sunday's win over the Gold Coast, with improved confidence throughout the entire squad.

Having come close for the past two weeks but fallen just short, the new recruit said it was pleasing to be able to close a game out and take some confidence moving forward.

“We’ve been close for a couple of weeks now and fallen short like when we played against Parramatta,” he said.  “It was a good win on the weekend so hopefully we can lead into this week’s game with a lot more confidence as a result of that.

“When we played against Manly a couple of weeks ago, we had a good first half but our second half wasn’t so good. To close off a game like that against the Gold Coast... it just shows we have good leadership in our team, so it’s pretty positive for us.
