Wests Tigers centre Kevin Naiqama has been named in the Fiji Bati squad for their upcoming Test match against Toa Samoa on Saturday, October 8 in Apia, Samoa.

The match will mark the first official Test match in history on home soil for Samoa.

Despite playing centre at Club level, Naiqama has been named at fullback in the squad, a position he has played at on five occasions for Fiji between 2013 and 2015.

The 27-year-old had been named to play for Fiji against Papua New Guinea earlier in the year, but was forced to withdraw in the lead-up to the match with a hamstring injury.

Fiji Coach Mick Potter has named an overall strong squad to take on Samoa, headlined by players such as Naiqama, Waqa Blake, Apisai Koroisau, Kane Evans and Korbin Sims.

Wests Tigers would like to congratulate Kevin on his international selection!
