Wests Tigers forward Kyle Lovett says his side can take plenty of knowledge away from their Round 1 win over the New Zealand Warriors last week.

Fielding a couple of players out of position on the day, Lovett said that the young side will take plenty away from the win heading into the season ahead —

"The second half really wasn't the best from us boys," Lovett said.

"We sort of scared ourselves there and went away from the game plan.

"But being able to come back and get the two points is really good."

See what Kyle had to say in full about this week's game and more in the video above.
