Followers of Wests Tigers’ Twitter account may have noticed a subtle change in the last week – we’ve changed our Twitter handle.
Wests Tigers have gotten rid of that pesky underscore and we’re now known as @WestsTigers.
The move was made possible thanks to long-time Wests Tigers fan Gary Jarjoura who was the proud owner of the @WestsTigers Twitter handle.
Gary chose the @WestsTigers name when he came across Twitter after the social media platform was first launched and has used it to support the Club ever since.
“I’ve really enjoyed being able to engage with other Wests Tigers fans through Twitter over the last few years but I thought that the Club should really have the @WestsTigers account,” said Gary. “I’ve been a passionate fan for a long time and while it’s been great to have the @WestsTigers name I think it’s best suited to being the official account of the Club.”
Wests Tigers would like to thank Gary for donating the Twitter handle to the Club.
