Wests Tigers are pleased to welcome centre Yileen Gordon to the Club.
Gordon joins Wests Tigers on a one-year second tier contract, with his arrival offering the chance to work towards a return to the NRL.
The 26-year-old made his NRL debut in 2005 and has played a total of 71 games for South Sydney, Canterbury and Penrith. Most recently, Gordon played the 2013 season with NSW Cup side, Newtown.
Wests Tigers Coach Mick Potter said Gordons attitude has been positive during the first two weeks of pre-season training and he looks forward to working with him over the coming months.
Ive been impressed with what he has been doing at training so far, Potter said.
He has been diligent, hard-working and is looking trim.
Yileen has still got good speed and size, hes got the rare talent of being able to beat his man and set up his outside player.
With Chris Lawrence, Tim Simona and Keith Lulia featuring in the top squad, Gordon provides both depth and another option in the centre position.
Gordon has enjoyed the first two weeks of pre-season training.
Its fantastic to be back amongst it again and Im looking forward to repaying the Wests Tigers for the good faith they have shown in me, Gordon said.
I want to have a good pre-season, set myself up for the year ahead and break into first grade eventually.
Theres a good young bunch of guys here who have been on the radar for a bit and 2014 looks to be a big year for the Club.
