Under 20s halfback Luke Brooks believes anyone in the top eight race can take out the NYC title as Wests Tigers prepare to tackle the Broncos on Sunday.
Wests Tigers bounced back from consecutive losses with an impressive 48-14 victory over the Cowboys last week to finish the regular season in fifth spot.
While the side looked to have hit form in the eight-try romp, Brooks said there are areas the team still need to work on.
It was good to get some form going into the finals this week although weve still got a lot to improve on, hopefully we can get it right for Sunday, Brooks said.
The competition is very close, I think anyone in the top eight can win it.
Brooks wont be taking the eighth-placed Broncos lightly, with both sides recording one victory each from their two clashes earlier this year.
The Broncos are a tough team, its a different side to the one we played earlier in the year.
Corey Oates (injured) coming back down to Under 20s wouldve been a huge boost for the Broncos, but they still have plenty of players we need to be wary of.
Should the Wests Tigers win on Sunday, it will set up a blockbuster semi-final against the loser of the Raiders-Bulldogs clash.
