Wests Tigers held its first ever All Hallows Eve Charity Ball on Saturday evening, recognising the amazing work that beyondblue does in the community.
The event, held at the Dockside Pavilion on Darling Harbour, was attended by almost 500 guest, and raised much needed funds for beyondblue.
Host Renee Gartner began the night, with Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe speaking about the importance of the partnership between the Club and beyondblue.
Professor Steven Larkin, a beyondblue Director and Wests Tigers Member, then provided the audience with some background on the important work that beyondblue carries out in the community, and the difference the organisation is making in the lives of so many Australians.
Professor Larkin then joined Olympic gold medallist Liesel Jones, recently retired Wests Tigers player Dene Halatau and current Wests Tigers player and beyondblue ambassador Sauaso Sue for a special speaking panel.
The four spoke about the role that beyondblue plays in the community and how they became involved.
Guests were then treated to a special performance by Kasey Chambers, with the award winning singer-songwriter taking to the stage having just returned from a tour of the United States.
The room then heard first hand of the effects that depression can have on a family, with Angela Grieve sharing the story of the tragic loss of her son, at just 18 years of age.
Guests then dug deep with a series of auctions taking place, raising funds to support the work of beyondblue.
The evening finished with a special performance by The Cockroaches, who reformed for this one-off event.
Wests Tigers would like to thank all those who attended the event for making it a special evening.
