After leading 10-0 early courtesy of tries to David Nofoaluma and Chris Lawrence, Wests Tigers would trail at the half-time break 24-16 and 30-16 mid-way through the second half, before roaring back into the match to level the scores inside the final 10 minutes.
The Sharks would have several late chances to win the match, but some gritty defence from the home side saw them hold on to the 30-30 draw and leave their second final match with several positives to take into next fortnight's season opener against the Warriors.
