Wests Tigers can confirm that the Club has agreed to release Keith Galloway from the final year of his playing contract.

The 29-year-old will depart at the conclusion of the 2015 season to take up an opportunity in Super League with the Leeds Rhinos on a three-year deal.

Galloway joined Wests Tigers in 2006, following on from three seasons with the Cronulla Sharks, and has played a total of 204 NRL games to date.

Wests Tigers Head Coach Jason Taylor thanked Galloway for his services to the Club over the past 10 seasons.

“Keith has become not only a favourite amongst our fans - but also with our playing group and staff during his time at the Club,” Taylor said. “Since I started at Wests Tigers last year, Keith has been the ultimate professional in every aspect.

“Keith has been offered a great opportunity to play overseas and we are all really excited for him.”

Wests Tigers Interim CEO Phil Moss echoed Taylor’s praise for the Yarrawarrah Tigers junior.

“We want to thank Keith for his tireless services for Wests Tigers - both on and off the field,” he said. “As we all know Keith has achieved plenty in the game, but I also want to acknowledge some great work in the community he has done over the years.

“The opportunity with Leeds is a good one for himself and his young family; we wish Keith all the best once he departs at season’s end.”

Galloway represented both Australia and New South Wales during the 2011 season, as well as making three appearances for City Origin during his time with Wests Tigers.
