Wests Tigers playmaker Mitchell Moses says he empathises with the Club’s Members and supporters following a fourth straight defeat on Sunday to the Brisbane Broncos, but urged fans to remain patient with the team.
The 20-year-old, who is one of just five players to feature in every game for Wests Tigers this season, said he understands the frustration that the fans are feeling with the Club now sitting in 16th place, but implored Members and supporters to remain patient as the team continues to give it their all and strives to end the season on a positive note.
“We’re building for the future and that’s what we’re doing here,” Moses said.
“Everyone’s just got to patient. It’s frustrating, I know that, but it’s also frustrating for us.
“We can see [that] the things that we’re doing at training, some of them are coming off in games, but then we have those lapses that hurt us and shoots ourselves in the foot.
“We’ve just got to work hard not to do that in the future."
Having scored just two tries before Sunday’s Round 19 clash against the competition favourites, Moses was instrumental in creating a stirring second half comeback — scoring a try and threatening the line on several occasions — before three late tries to the Broncos in the final 12 minutes of play saw the home side pull away with a commanding win.

The wiry playmaker admitted that, despite the comeback, the damage was done for his side in the opening 40 minutes as the hosts took a 26-0 lead into the half-time sheds.
“We really shot ourselves in the foot early on,” Moses reflected after the match.
“We came in at half-time and mentioned that we were shooting ourselves in the foot, but you know, we knew and believed that we were still in the game at that point.
“We’ve come back from a deficit like that before, but you just can’t give a team like that who are on top of the table a 26-point lead at half-time and expect to win.”
