Wests Tigers forward Liam Fulton has officially been ruled out of Friday's Round 9 clash against the Sydney Roosters with a back injury.

Fulton has suffered an ongoing back complaint and consulted a specialist yesterday after a recent ‘flare up’.

The exact return date for Fulton is not yet known, with a further update to provided in next week’s Velbexx 17 Injury Report.

Prop forward Jack Buchanan has been called into the side to face the Roosters tonight following impressive performances in NSW Cup.

Buchanan made his NRL debut last season and finished the season with 23 out of a possible 24 games.

Wests Tigers medical staff are hopeful of having numerous players back on the field next week - including Braith Anasta, Sauaso Sue, James Gavet and possibly captain Robbie Farah.
