Wests Tigers caught up with VB NSW Cup Head Coach Paul Fletcher as well as Kurtis Rowe and Jarrod Farlow after their 28-18 win over Wyong Roos this afternoon.

Paul Fletcher, NSW Cup Head Coach
"I'm happy with the two points, but there's still lots to improve on. We went one from eight [in our completions] to start and then went eight from eight to lead 10-6. We went nine from nine to lead 28-6 and then went two from eight two lead 28-18. It's not good enough.
"I'm impressed with everyone's defence because we're doing enough of it. We're getting very good at it because we're doing too much of it through our own errors. It's getting to the stage that, the boys are acknowledging it but we've got to do something about it.
They're unforced errors. It's a care factor and it's not good enough. I said it last week and I've been saying it for a month. We've been lucky we're not taking on the top teams with a performance like that. We did the right thing to lead 28-6 and then threw it away. It's carelessness. Attention to detail has to be addressed. It's an inidividual thing.
"I think the boys feel that they let themselves down a touch tonight..."
Jarrod Farlow, Captain
"I think they said we went two from eight to start the game and then went eight from eight so we've shown what we can do when we hold the ball. I know that it's pretty boring footy for the fans sometimes, but if we hold the ball, not many teams are going to stop us.
"That's obviously the key for us.
"I think our defence is really good. Our contact is good and we've got good communication and desperation to not let teams cross our line. We let in one soft try from dummy half which we weren't very happy about but, in all, our defence has been our strongest point..."
Kurtis Rowe, Fullback
"We did start off a bit slow with a few too many errors in that first half. We did start to get a roll on in that second half and started to complete our sets and play good footy.
"Having Blake [Austin] in the team is a big advantage for us.
"He takes control when he's out there and really gets our structure right. I've got a good combination with him and he helps us young boys out.
"There's been a big difference stepping up from NYC to State Cup. The hits are a lot harder and the speed of the game still feels very different to it was before.
"I'm feeling good, personally. No injuries to speak of and I'm doing well. I've got a bit to improve on myself, but I'm just being patient to get a crack at first-grade..."
